🎬 There’s some serious talent growing right here in Marion County and we think it’s inspirational!

The Ocala Film Derby gives local middle and high school students something incredibly valuable: the chance to take what they’re learning in the classroom and turn it into a real film — complete with deadlines, teamwork, professional mentorship and Downtown Ocala as their backdrop. 🎥✨

And then? They get to see their work on the BIG SCREEN at the historic Marion Theatre. 🍿

Last year, eight student teams participated and $15,500 in scholarships were awarded. That’s the kind of community investment we love to see. ❤️

The Ocala Film Derby rides back into town for an evening of original student films, awards, and $20,000 in scholarships for the next generation of filmmakers. Nine teams. Nine films. One big show. Come see who rode off with the awards... and who leaves with a scholarship.
