Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

September 11th is one of those days that stays with you. So many of us can still remember exactly where we were, what we were doing, who we called, and the moment we realized the world had suddenly changed.

For me, this date carries an additional, deeply personal meaning. I also lost my grandfather on September 11th, so each year I hold both a nation's grief and my family's own loss close to my heart.

But when I reflect on that day, I also remember what followed.

People showed up for one another. Neighbors checked on neighbors. Strangers became helpers. And first responders ran toward danger with a level of courage and selflessness that we should never forget.

Perhaps that is one of the greatest things we can carry forward from such an unimaginable day: the reminder that even in our darkest moments, we are stronger when we choose to care for one another.

Today, I honor the lives we lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders and heroes who served so selflessly.

And I quietly remember my grandfather, whose memory makes this day especially personal for me.

Twenty-five years later, we remember. We honor. And we never forget. 🇺🇸

I was thinking today about how different work feels when you genuinely love what you’re building.

There were years when a long weekend meant completely clocking out. These days, I don’t feel like I need to escape from the work, I’m grateful I get to do it.

Helping a family find the land that finally feels like theirs. Watching “we’re just looking” turn into “this is home.” Connecting people to a community and lifestyle I genuinely love.

That’s not lost on me.
