Wetherington fell in love with the historic district. He purchased the two story red brick apartment complex, Fort King Manor, just across the street from the Spanish moss draped, charming Burford Building. As a new landlord in Ocala’s historic district, Ron excavated a garden to reveal the foundation of a decorative pool. Now, Ron’s picturesque courtyard at Fort King Manor includes a lighted pool

replete with fountains and Italian statuary of the archers. The bronze lion head mounted on the ivy-covered wall behind the water feature was imported from New York City. Even in winter, Ron’s gardeners keep red roses in bloom atop his pool’s ivy covered brick wall.
