“It was a long day,” she said. “Hush,” he purred. “I’ve got you now.” He held her close until she fell asleep and then he slipped off the chair. He could just make out the others in the distance. “See you tomorrow night,” he whispered. It was time for him to return to Rainbow Bridge.
