If you’re coming down to Ocean City this weekend to check on your property after the nor’easter, here’s some helpful cleanup information.

The Shelter Road Recycling Center is open for residents to drop off bulk and storm-damaged material:

Monday–Saturday
8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Regular trash and recycling pickup is operating on its normal schedule, including yard and vegetative waste placed curbside.

Hopefully this makes the cleanup a little easier for anyone dealing with the aftermath of the storm.

For this one, I’d make the caption feel neighborly and useful, not promotional. The reel itself already explains the flooding, so the caption can simply make the offer clear. I’d also avoid language that could sound like you’re assessing damage professionally. You’re checking on the property and reporting back what you see.

The recent nor’easter brought significant flooding to parts of Ocean City, and I know many property owners aren’t here to see how their homes made out.

The news media as we all know sensationalize everything. And we saw multiple reports that compared this to being similar to Sandy, which it was not. And here’s the proof.

Buying a home is about much more than finding the right property.

A recent survey of 1,000 homebuyers found that 69% expected their real estate agent to help coordinate the mortgage, title/closing and insurance providers involved in their purchase.

And when agents made service-provider recommendations, 95% of buyers found those recommendations at least somewhat helpful or valuable.

My takeaway: technology can make the process faster and more efficient, but buyers still value experienced guidance, trusted recommendations and someone helping keep all the moving parts on track.

That’s a big part of what a good agent should bring to the table.
