Just a quick reminder

Aerial view of what rip currents look like. We are entering the season of double red flag 🚩 🚩days. It means the water is closed bc of dangerous rip currents that will sweep you out to sea. Unnecessary drownings occur each year by tourists who either do not know or do not follow the flags. Standing on the shoreline it may not look dangerous.
If double red flags 🚩🚩are flying, do not get in the water.

If you ever caught in a rip current, do not PANIC. Swim parallel to the shore until you are out of it. Never try to swim straight back to shore as you will tire out and likely drown. As you see in the photo, going towards the waves with the white caps will get you back to shore. Stay safe!!

Lots of new things going on for summer 2022. Looks like we will now have Dairy Queen across the street. From liquor store to Dairy Queen. I’m still going to get our ice cream at our favorite My Place on the ground floor of Seawatch.
