“Some People Start as Clients… and Become Friends ❤️”
Real estate has never felt transactional to me, even though yes… it is serious business. Somewhere between the first phone call, the house hunt, the negotiations, the inspections, the nerves, the closing table, and finally handing over the keys… people’s lives become intertwined for a little while. And sometimes, if you are lucky, that little while turns into years of friendship ti one degree or another. It's always about people.
One dear client turned friend in these photos lost her husband in 2025. He was a lovely man who absolutely adored her, and wanted her to have her shore property, all of us who knew them could see it plain as day.
Watching someone you care about walk through grief changes you a bit. There are no magic words for loss. Friends cannot remove the pain, but we can sit beside someone while they carry it. We can remind them they are not alone while they learn how to move forward one day at a time.
Another special moment from this week was celebrating another client/friend becoming a member of the Somers Point Elks. I had the honor of sponsoring him, and seeing everyone gathered there laughing, celebrating, and simply enjoying each other’s company reminded me again that community still matters.
And then there’s my longtime bartender friend… years behind the bar, countless conversations, remembering names, stories, struggles, celebrations, and now many of those customers are her friends.
Honestly, it’s a marvel to me that more people don’t slow down long enough to truly connect anymore.
Maybe that’s the real gift in any business.
Not the sale.
Not the commission.
Not the transaction.
The relationships.
Because long after the paperwork is filed away and the moving boxes are gone, people remember how you made them feel.
And if you do life with meaning, every now and then, you look around a room and realize what started as introductions somehow became friendships. ❤️
Thank you, God!
