📚🎒 HELP US FILL 250 BACKPACKS FOR LOCAL STUDENTS! 🎒📚

Last year, our community came together in an incredible way. We handed out 100 backpacks in just 30 minutes—and the need was still greater than the supply.

This year, we’re stepping up our efforts.

🇺🇸 Coldwell Banker Smith Homes, REALTORS® is partnering with BOSAR and River Chase Village to provide 250 backpacks for local school children as they head back to class.

The reality is simple: many families in our community are struggling, and something as basic as school supplies can create an added burden. Together, we can help ensure that students start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

‼️ Jackson County Office of Emergency Services Announces Sandbag Availability Ahead of Expected Heavy Rainfall ‼️

As South Mississippi prepares for the potential of heavy rainfall and localized flooding, the Jackson County Office of Emergency Services is taking proactive steps to help residents prepare for possible impacts.

To assist residents in protecting homes and property, sand and sandbags will be available for self-service filling at the following designated locations throughout Jackson County. (Must bring your own shovels, sandbags provided.)

⚠️ CITY OF GAUTIER DECLARES LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY DUE TO IMPENDING SEVERE WEATHER

Mayor Casey Vaughan has declared a Local State of Emergency for the City of Gautier as our area prepares for the potential impacts of Invest 90L.

The storm system may bring:
🌧️ Heavy rainfall and possible flooding
💨 Damaging winds
🌪️ Potential tornado activity
⚠️ Hazardous travel conditions

City officials and departments are actively preparing and coordinating with Jackson County, state agencies, and emergency partners to ensure a timely response.

Residents are encouraged to:
✅ Stay weather aware
✅ Secure outdoor items that could become hazards
✅ Have emergency supplies ready
✅ Monitor trusted weather sources and City updates
