The Vista City Council has approved a phased plan to begin long-awaited safety and traffic improvements along the Emerald Drive corridor, with construction expected to start in the upcoming year 🚧🌴

The first phase will include new roundabouts, pedestrian safety upgrades, ADA-compliant sidewalks and ramps, bike lane striping, landscaped medians, and more, all designed to help calm traffic and improve safety for area residents.

This project has been years in the making, and it’s great to see momentum building toward safer, more connected neighborhoods in Vista.

Spending more time outside in Escondido as the weather warms up? You might spot a new addition 👀🎨

A series of new murals along the Escondido Creek Trail is bringing color, creativity, and local storytelling to the path, highlighting the native environment and the life it supports.

It’s part of a larger transformation of the trail into a 4.5-mile linear park, with improved walkability, lighting, play areas, and public art along the way.

Each mural includes a QR code so you can learn more about the artist and the story behind the piece while you’re out exploring.

The murals were unveiled last month on April 18th.
