🎓🌶️ Salsa University Class of 2026 has officially graduated!

What started with a name, a logo, and a decorated apron turned into weeks of planting, growing, harvesting, learning, creating, and—of course—making some seriously good salsa!

Our residents learned where their ingredients come from, discovered the tradition behind the molcajete, created their own salsa recipes and brands, and finally put everything to the test in our Salsa Showdown.

And after a very spicy competition… 🥁

🏆 Congratulations to our 2026 Salsa University Champion: Evan’s Salsa Pot from Mesa Gardens, created by Maria, Abby & Elias!

A huge thank you to every resident who participated, every Community Organizer who brought Salsa University to life, and our brave judges who tasted their way through the competition. 🌶️😂

This is HomeGrown: learning something new, creating together, building traditions, and having a whole lot of fun along the way.

Last week, we crowned the winner of The Apartment Company’s Salsa University 🌶️🏆… but today, we’re taking you behind the scenes! 🎬😂

Our judges had the very important (and VERY spicy 🌶️) job of tasting all 19 salsas!

And if we were giving out medals for who handled the heat the best… 🏅

🥇 Wendy — Absolutely unbothered. 19 salsas later and still smiling!
🥈 Sadie — Handled the heat like a champ!
🥉 Reynaldo — The heat was definitely starting to hit… 😂
🏅 Ezequiel — Our brave 4th place survivor. Those 19 salsas put him THROUGH IT! 🌶️🔥😂
