Wow look what I found! It’s the dishwasher air gap. It leaks water when the dishwasher ejects water 💦. Air gaps need to be mounted in countertops to maintain correct elevation and function properly.

Yikes....this FLIR thermal imaging camera revealed that this water is too hot and presents a safety hazard during this home inspection! 120 degrees is the absolute maximum temperature. I recommended that the client lower the thermostat on the water heater to a safer level.

Carbon Monoxide testing is an imperative part of furnace safety checks. A cracked heat exchanger will allow CO into your dwelling space. Please make sure to test your homes carbon monoxide detectors regularly!
