Unplug and unwind with your whole family in this charming rustic cabin perched above Ocqueoc Lake. Enjoy fishing on the 130 acre no-wake lake. A 14-foot row boat and life preservers ares included with rental and a motor for the boat is available for an additional fee. There is a public launch right next to the property if you choose to bring your own boat. Canoe or kayak the lake and river to catch a glimpse of water fowl and wildlife in its natural habitat. Take pleasure in an evening of telling stories or singing songs around a bonfire. Fire wood is provided. Observe wildlife and birdwatch right on the premises. Visit Ocqueoc Falls State Park where you can hike the trails and even swim in the falls, just a few minutes drive away. Several attractions are within a 20 minute drive: the Underground River, 40 Mile Point Light House, sandy beaches on Lake Huron and Black Lake, hiking and ATV trails.
I am a 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin that will sleep up to 6 people. I have 2 double beds, and 2 futons. The bedrooms are partition walls with curtained doorways. The ceiling is open beam that carries throughout the cabin. The bathroom has a stand up shower and a 1 sink vanity. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size refrigerator and stove.
There is a small patio that overlooks the lake and a small back yard that is for your use only. There is also a large back yard and firepit area that is a shared space. There are picnic tables, lawn chairs, and a tire swing, all in the shared space.
I provide bed linnens, bath towels and kitchen towels. I also provide coffee (and filters), tea, creamers and sweeteners. I provide hand soap and dish soap, as well as toilet paper and paper towel. I have a hair dryer, iron, and cleaning supplies. There are some reading material, puzzles, and games for the whole family. A high chair and pack-n-play are also available.
There is no TV or WiFi.
