Caught myself 🫣

Beginning of the school year is super stressful for me (counselors) working as fast as I can and no matter what EVERYONE is upset because of schedules - parents, students, teachers, etc…

Every year I say that I’m going to handle this with grace and every year I fail 😓 (I do fail better though) I take it personal when people think I do things “on purpose” like sit your child in business instead of band- your child requested that therefore I input that 🤷‍♀️ or a schedule is showing the wrong teacher- Yes teachers quit last minute, masters get changed- I am not aware of all the changes being made the minute they are made.

So unfortunately I forget my circle of control, I forget to breathe, I forget to not react, I forget to show grace, I forget to show up as the person I say I want to be! I’m human 🤍

This was a good reminder this morning to practice what I preach and if I fail I can try again the next minute. 🙏
