🚩 Buyers and Renters please be aware. This happened to one of my listings!
I had appointment to show 213 Nelda. We are walking through the house and another person shows up and says he is there to look at house. I say okay since I have been receiving several messages about this house. After I get done with first client, I tell the other gentlemen how can I help? He said he had been messaging me about the house and so I start telling him info about the house and he says "Wait so this isn't for rent? You messaged me that it was for rent."
I say no sir this house is for sale only. He showed me his messages about the rental and the link to fill out application and send the deposit. I tell him that is not my number and I did not advertise as a rental, please do not send money or clink on the link, that it was a scam.
He was so concerned and embarrassed, he said he couldn't believe he almost sent his money but felt to drive by the house first AND I just happened to be there showing the first clients.
This is why its so important to never send money online and PLEASE, PLEASE work with a Realtor. If not me, then there are several great Realtors in the Permian Basin!
