☯️ What keeps you balanced? ☯️

My mantra over the last couple years has been yoga,hike,meditate. I have found that practicing these 3 things consistently has allowed me to show up for myself and push through challenges in my everyday life when they arrive.

Since the heat has been in full force this summer I have neglected the hiking portion of my routine. I had started to feel a bit stuck and overwhelmed. Fortunately today cooled down to 92 degrees so I got out for a hike!

Of course this didn't magically solve all of my problems but it did give me a chance to reset and plan my next steps to keep moving forward.

🍄 🍄Mushrooms 🍄 🍄 What is your favorite?

Intermountain Gourmet Mushrooms has been our neighbor this summer at the farmers market and every week they bring a selection of mostly locally grown Mushrooms. I have tried every one but currently my favorite is lions mane. Very meaty mushroom that works wonders for replacing meat & is super healthy for you.

What is your favorite houseplant? 🪴 🏠

I have a lot of house plants but today I will highlight one of my favorites,Spider plants!!! These things are like gremlins, water them & they multiply.

This is my oldest house plant. Been about 2 years since its last repotting and it was sure ready for a root trim.

Spider plants were my introduction to house plants. They are a great beginner plant 🪴 as they are super resilient & hard to kill. Plus if you show them some love they can grow quite large.

One of the things that led me to Real Estate is Farming.🌻🐐🍅

As our flower farm has begun to bloom I saw how crucial real estate is to our dreams of growing the farm each year. I set out to learn everything I could about real estate, zoning for agriculture and what it takes to set up a business that funds the land it is built on.

In this picture we are loving life after planting two full beds of garlic! Garlic is now one of my favorite things to grow. Plant it in the fall, wait nine months and it is ready to harvest.

🐝 Save the bees! 🐝 Did you know that most bees are solitary?

Most bees, approximately 75% live in individual nests tunneled into the soil. Growing flowers, especially sun flowers, has given me an appreciation for all the different types of bees & pollinators that appear when there are flowers blooming. We also don't ever spray pesticides on our flowers to make sure we are providing a safe environment for all of our pollinators friends.

Planting seeds brings life to the world.This is true in the physical and works great as a metaphor.

It takes time, water, and the right conditions to sprout something beautiful.

I love peaches! 🍑 What is your favorite peach recipe?

This year I have been more in touch with seasonal produce than ever before. It is such a treat this time of year to have fresh peaches.

So far we have made peach bread pudding, peach muffins and peach-a (pizza with peaches, goat cheese, mushrooms, caramelized onions, arugula & toasted walnuts).

Big shout out to .produce for having an amazing selection of local produce!

Our favorite thing is definitely meeting all the 🐕 dogs.

So proud of what we have accomplished this year at .webloom Grown Flowers.

Starting a new business and getting opportunities that include lots of hard work has been such a blessing. It is easy to focus on the little things that aren't working as well as you expected & let the narrative in your head be filled with negativity. Lately I have beeb able to take a step back and really appreciate all the things that have gone better than expected.

It has been a wonderful year of growth and I am so excited for years to come.

Spent some time last night & early this morning harvesting these beauties. Come see us at the Ogden Farmers Market tomorrow for some Ogden grown flowers.
