One mistake I see buyers make is waiting too long to talk to a lender.

Even if you think buying is 6–12 months away, a quick conversation with a lender can help you:

• Know exactly how much to save
• Understand what monthly payments would look like
• Improve your credit if needed

Some of my clients meet with a lender a year before they buy so they can prepare properly.
