There is nothing quite like seeing Old Glory waving in the breeze. ❤️🤍💙

"Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it."

Today, we celebrate the symbol of our nation’s hope, resilience, and freedom. Happy Flag Day, everyone!

Memorial Day is a significant American holiday celebrated on the last Monday of May, dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. military. In 2026, this solemn occasion will be observed on May 25. Initially referred to as Decoration Day, the holiday emerged in the aftermath of the Civil War and was officially recognized as a federal holiday in 1971.

Many Americans commemorate Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries and memorials, gathering with family, and participating in parades, while it also unofficially signifies the start of the summer season.

We wish you a wonderful Memorial Day filled with love, laughter, and joy! 💙❤️

Happy Earth Day!

Did you know?

Earth Day was born on April 22, 1970 — a date deliberately chosen by U.S. Senator Ga***rd Nelson and young activist Denis Hayes to fall between Spring Break and Final Exams, maximizing student participation in what began as a national environmental teach-in. That single day drew 20 million Americans into the streets and sparked the modern environmental movement. Today, Denis Hayes serves as Board Chair Emeritus of EARTHDAY.ORG, the non-profit organization that grew out of that very first Earth Day and now mobilizes one billion people in 193 countries every year.

Hope you have a great day and maybe even plant a tree!

According to Irish Road Trip, St. Patrick wasn't Irish at all, he was born in Roman-Britain (Britain was under Roman rule for 350 years) circa 386 A.D. He didn’t arrive in Ireland until 433.

St. Patrick was abducted at the age of 16 and brought to Northern Ireland as a slave. He was forced to tend to sheep for 6 years in the mountains.

One of the more surprising St. Patrick’s Day facts revolves around his name. ‘Patrick’ is a name that he picked up along the way at some point. St. Patrick’s real name was ‘Maewyn Succat’.

According to St. Patrick’s Confession (a book that is said to have been written by St. Patrick), God told Patrick to flee his captures and make his way to the coast where a boat would be waiting to take him back home. Eventually he did make it back to Ireland. St. Patrick is often associated with the shamrock. It’s said that, upon returning to Ireland, he used the three-leafed plant as a metaphor for the Hold Trinity. It is now one of the more notable symbols of Ireland, along with the Celtic Cross.

Did you know that Presidents Day 2026 is celebrated today? Officially recognized as Washington’s Birthday, this holiday was established to honor George Washington. Over the years, it has evolved to also commemorate other U.S. presidents. The date was standardized under the Uniform Monday Holiday Law, which moved the observance to the third Monday in February. This adjustment was made to prevent midweek closures and to create extended weekends within the federal calendar.
