How old is your water heater?
You would think you could get that answer easily just by looking at the data plate on the unit, however, it doesn’t always show when it was manufactured….Or does it?
If your water heater does not list the manufactured date, the information is actually encoded in the serial number.
With a little Internet research, you can look up the method used by the company that made your water heater to determine when and where it was made.
