❄️ Freezing Temps Are Headed for the OKC Metro! ❄️
Winter weather is moving in fast, and now is the time to make sure your home — and especially your pool — is ready and safe.
Here are a few important things to keep in mind as temperatures start to drop:
🏠 Home Prep:
• Protect outdoor faucets and exposed pipes
• Check insulation, heat tape, and vulnerable areas around the house
• Clear gutters so melting ice and snow can drain properly
• Bring in or secure outdoor furniture, grills, and loose items
• Make sure pets have warm, safe shelter
🛑 Outdoor Safety Factors:
• Watch for icy sidewalks, decks, and driveways — treat surfaces ahead of time
• Trim weak or low-hanging limbs that could break from ice
• Avoid walking under heavy ice-covered tree branches
• Keep an emergency kit ready in case of power outages
• Ensure outside lighting works for safe evening visibility
💧 Pool Prep:
• Confirm your pool equipment is fully winterized
• Make sure freeze protection settings are on and functioning
• Remove debris from skimmers and baskets
• Check water levels and basic chemistry
• Ensure covers are secure before the freeze hits
• If something looks off — don’t wait, message me
A little preparation now can prevent major headaches later — especially with Oklahoma’s unpredictable winter weather.
If you have any questions or concerns about preparing your pool or property for freezing temperatures, feel free to call or message me anytime. I’m here to help keep your home and pool safe all winter long.
