Dangerously low temperatures will be moving in to OKC today. To help meet the community’s need, we will be opening our Day Shelter as an emergency temporary night shelter beginning Sunday night. Our Day Shelter will remain open 24 hours/day through at least November 1. All people and pets are welcome, and no ID is required.

Winter overflow beds will also be available overnight at The Salvation Army, City Care, and City Rescue Mission. Youth aged 15-24 can visit Sisu Youth Services or Pivot.

The network of service providers, agencies, individuals, and businesses involved in coordinating safe and warm shelters are already working to notify people outside of the incoming, dangerous weather as well as the available emergency options.

If you would like to help, we need the following items:
- Warm coats (men’s large and up)
- Gloves and beanies
- Hand and body warmers
- Adult-size running shoes and work boots
- Blankets and sleeping bags
- Adult size underwear (new only), long underwear, and bras
- Men’s jeans and adult-size hoodies
**No other clothing at this time please.**
