This beautiful luxury home sold in ONE day.
But honestly, that’s not the story I want to tell.
Over the years, these clients have become so much more than clients. They’ve become dear friends. I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside them through multiple moves, watching their family grow and their lives evolve, and being trusted to help them through some pretty big seasons of life. They’ve also referred so many of their friends and family to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the relationship we’ve built.
And because I know them, I know how hard they worked for the life they created.
She built an incredible career. He built a very successful career of his own.
They worked hard, they sacrificed, and eventually they bought their dream home.
And it really was a dream.
A beautiful, perfectly finished home. And they had just added a gorgeous luxury pool.
But then they started asking themselves a bigger question:
What kind of life do we actually want to live?
The demands of her career, especially the time away from her kids, became too much.
So she made a decision I have an enormous amount of respect for.
She walked away from a very successful career, to be a mom who is actually there for her kids.
But that decision meant reevaluating other things too.
They love to travel. They want experiences. They want memories. They want time together.
And one income, a crazy-high mortgage, and the cost of the life they wanted to live just didn’t add up.
So they made the incredibly difficult decision to sell their dream home.
And as hard as that decision was, I respected even more why they were willing to let it go.
They chose their kids.
They chose their marriage.
They chose travel.
They chose memories.
They chose TIME.
They chose a life that was more aligned with what they truly valued.
The world tells us to accumulate more.
Bigger houses. More things. More status. More success.
But Jesus tells us:
“Store your treasures in heaven… For wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”
The places they get to see together.
The memories they get to make.
The marriage they get to nurture.
And most importantly, the childhood they get to be present for.
The house sold in one day.
But that isn’t what I’ll remember.
I’ll remember a family who had the courage to let go of something they worked incredibly hard to achieve because they realized something else was worth even more.
Sometimes the most valuable thing you can sell is the thing that gives you the freedom to live the life you actually want.
