Check out this trail info from Destination McDowell - both our homes are close to so many trails in Old Fort! Links in the comments.

We recently partnered with Outdoor NC to highlight the best trails in McDowell County, NC! This guide highlights Old Fort as a trail lover's paradise (we definitely agree) and includes some favorites from Marion, Little Switzerland, and Lake James as well. From hiking to biking to horseback riding, there's a trail for every activity type, with accessible options highlighted so everyone can join.

Whether you're local or planning your WNC trip, check out the Old Fort Trails Guide here: https://outdoornc.com/trail-town/old-fort-area/. The trails are calling and you simply must go!
