FOOD TRUCK FRIDAYS…

In continuance of our plan to add focus on the little things that bring big value to our citizens, I’m introducing our newest event, “Food Truck Fridays”, that I hope will further improve the recreational value of our city along with some great food!

Thanks to some of our Generation Z citizens for this great idea! Food trucks are the latest craze all around the country and our city competes with any when it comes to lunch demand in a hurry. Starting Friday, October 8, the City of Southaven will host food truck vendors from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM every Friday in our city at the Snowden Grove Park Springfest parking lot and The Arena parking lot at Hwy 51 and Dorchester Drive. Vendors will be required to submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office to obtain an annual permit ($100 fee) and may rent space daily for $25 or monthly for $75. The City will provide picnic tables and trash cans at both locations.

Get ready for a mini carnival-type atmosphere every Friday. Let’s keep it simple, but have a whole lot of fun!
