According to Bright MLS, the most expensive home to sell in the Montgomery County, MD - Washington DC area during July of 2026 was 2941 Massachusetts Ave, NW located in the Massachusetts Avenue Heights area of Washington, DC., along Embassy Row.
The property sold for $7.9 million. So, it is really unfortunate that I wasn't involved in the transaction

Just as a reminder, I can be referred to MD home sellers and buyers in MD & DC.

Anyhow, according to the tax records, this 8-bedroom home with over 11000 square feet of living space, was sold by the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia.

The home was originally constructed in 1919.

Interesting fact: the home is zoned as a 'Diplomatic Overlay', which means that the property is a designated area, with additional zoning and/or planning rules to accommodate and protect diplomatic facilities such as embassies.
