Many know that we have a designated portion of the building set up for long term/permanent residents.

It’s of the utmost importance to always be working towards making this place feel like home for anyone that decides to stay.

Convenience, comfort, and safety are just a few things that are important to us. Just like living in your own house, tenants have a pick up location for all of their mail and packages.

We will have a couple of openings soon for long term rentals. Cold rooms, clean building, and great neighbors that feel like family are a guarantee!

Why do we do it?

It’s simple. The people.

To me it’s neat to see the folks that stop and stay, from far and wide! We had no idea this many people traveled through here for a plethora of different reasons.

Adrian came all the way from Texas City, Tx.

This month alone, we had opened up five more rooms to accommodate the growth for our community. Things continue to look up!

The Windmill Hotel has been an exciting place to transform over the past few years, and today we’re proud to introduce our newest space: The Old Oak at Southlake.

This room is inspired by an era that has largely faded into history—the old way of life in Southlake, Texas. Growing up, I was always fascinated by the stories, character, and heritage that shaped that community. While Southlake has become known for its forward-thinking vision, its rich history is still worth remembering and celebrating.

Our hope at The Windmill has always been to create more than just a hotel. We want to provide a place that feels like home. The Old Oak at Southlake reflects that vision by preserving the warmth and comfort of the past while offering tasteful, upscale finishes for today’s traveler.

This spacious king room features an oversized private bathroom, a large walk-in closet, upgraded furnishings, and thoughtful touches throughout to make your stay both comfortable and memorable.

We’d love for you to come experience our newest addition and make yourself at home at The Windmill Hotel.

One of our greatest honors, is for the guest to find this place to be a spot to recharge and relax.

Cleanliness, hospitality and elevated amenities are the #1 goal. We take extra precaution in making sure these needs are met.

We have recently had folks from many states far and wide, kick their feet up right here in Olney, and couldn’t be more thankful!

As we continue to upgrade and evolve, we have given each room a theme. This particular one is named, “The Randall Ranch”...

As we continue to upgrade and evolve, we have given each room a theme. This particular one is named, “The Randall Ranch” suite.

This is an effort to carry custom aesthetics throughout the hotel, but also to count the blessings of the impactful folks in my life.

Pictured here is three of the girls that worked at The Randall Ranch. They made a huge impact on all the kids during lessons, summer camps, and all the other families that went through our barn over the years.

The Randall Ranch chapter was arguably my favorite one. Where those experiences led me to where I am today, in Olney. To me, it’s only fitting to honor those that selflessly impacted my life.

We will continue to add custom additions to each room, to provide the most unique and comfortable stay out of anywhere else. Thanks for supporting our journey at The Windmill!

Believe it or not, back in the day, Barbara Mandrell came through Olney—and her band stayed right here at The Windmill.

If you don’t know her, Barbara Mandrell was one of country music’s biggest stars. A powerhouse on stage, a multi-instrumentalist, and a voice that helped shape an era of country music.

It’s pretty wild to think that a place like this—right here in small-town Texas—has hosted folks like that.

Her band and team, stayed at our hotel, while she stayed on a ranch outside of town.

Just another reminder that you never know who might walk through these doors and we’re here for it!
