I love my job when I get to explore new places! I had a home inspection in Ellensburg this morning so Terryn joined and we made a day of it. We were going to do a hike, but then it was torrential raining right as we were going to get there so we dipped.🙃

We did go to the quaint town of Roslyn where the 1990s tv series Northern Exposure was filmed. When we were dating we used to watch it so brought fun memories! We had an amazing lunch at a 1889 established tavern, The Brick, where they filmed lots of the scenes and saw a few other sites for those familiar with the show.

Spent a day on Whidbey Island with some childhood friends last weekend.

If you’ve never made the trip, put it on your list! From Olympia it’s about 2.5 hours with ferry time, and the reward is absolutely worth it. Stunning panoramic views, sandy beaches, and the charming town of Langley.

Not many places you can get sand, water, evergreens, and snowcapped mountains all in the same view.🌲🌊🌞🏔️

Days like this remind me why I love living in the Pacific Northwest. Yes, the rainy season can be hard to get through, but once you make it to spring it is absolutely stunning!

If you have been waiting for interest rates to shift, there is some encouraging news. Rates recently dropped to their lowest level since August of 2022, landing just under 6 percent.

I just closed on this manufactured home in Olympia and I am excited to welcome my client to the area!

Every real estate transaction is unique, from $28,000 manufactured homes to vacant land to million dollar properties. I truly enjoy the process and helping my clients navigate what is often one of their largest financial decisions. No matter the price point, the level of service and care is always the same.

Out of state moves can be challenging, but I so enjoyed working with Sarah and grateful to help make the process as smooth and stress free as possible, no matter where someone is located.

Lately, we have been reflecting in our firm that the market feels very similar to 2025 so far. Homes that are well presented and priced right are moving. Homes that are not tend to sit a bit longer while buyers wait.

Interest rates are not the shock they once were and people have adjusted. What has changed since the Covid market is expectations. Buyers are paying closer attention to condition, value, and location.

For sellers, preparation matters more than it did a few years ago.

Here is a fun video sharing how sellers, buyers, and real estate brokers each have their own perspective on preparing for the market and pricing a home.

The biggest takeaway? Preparation and realistic pricing are key for sellers if you want your home to be a top contender for buyers. And for buyers, if you notice homes sitting and the price seems high, this may be an opportunity to negotiate when a property is not priced according to its condition.
