Today, I had the honor of closing on a home that one family had lived in since 1989. It was an emotional experience for the sellers, the buyers, and for me as well. Moments like this remind me that a house is so much more than just four walls and a roof—it’s a place where life unfolds and memories are made.
A home carries the energy of the people who lived there, the laughter, the milestones, and even the quiet moments. It becomes a part of the family’s story, almost as if the home itself could speak and say, “I was important. I held something valuable.”
This particular closing was meaningful because it marked a true transition: from a family who built their lives there, raised children, and moved forward, to new owners who will now create their own memories and story within those same walls. Being part of that exchange was powerful, and it reminded me once again why I love what I do.
