A few more memories from an unforgettable day.

Watching Ariel graduate 8th grade still doesn’t seem real. Time truly flies. One minute she’s holding my hand and sitting on my shoulders, and the next she’s getting ready for high school.

We are beyond proud of the young woman she has become. Smart, strong, funny, caring, and full of personality. She has a bright future ahead of her, and we can’t wait to watch her continue to grow and chase her dreams.

How is this even possible?

It feels like yesterday I was carrying this little girl on my shoulders, holding her hand as we crossed the street, watching cartoons together, going on adventures, and hearing her laugh from the back seat of the truck. Now somehow, in the blink of an eye, my little girl has graduated 8th grade and is heading off to high school.

To say I’m proud would be the understatement of the year.

Ariel, you have grown into an incredible young woman. You are smart, determined, passionate, funny, strong-willed, caring, and absolutely full of life. You’ve definitely inherited your dad’s debating skills, stubbornness, and ability to argue every side of a conversation—which is probably why becoming a lawyer someday might be a perfect fit! But you’ve also inherited your mom’s beauty, kindness, courage, compassion, and heart.

You truly are the best of both of us.

Watching you grow has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I have so many memories I’ll cherish forever—from family trips, school events, horseback riding, adventures, hikes, and all the little moments in between. The moments where time seemed to stand still. The moments every parent wishes they could bottle up forever.

Tonight was one of those moments.

As I watched you walk across that stage graduating from Northwest Christian Academy, I couldn’t help but reflect on how far you’ve come. Mom may have shed a few tears… and if I’m being honest, I might have gotten a little emotional too. Seeing your grandparents, family, and friends there celebrating you made the evening even more special.

Ariel, the world is waiting for you.

Keep being fearless. Keep being kind. Keep standing up for what you believe in. Keep chasing your dreams. Keep being uniquely YOU.

The greatest thing a parent can do is prepare their child to leave the bow as an arrow and go make their mark on the world.
