This little fully updated, bamboo-floored, red-front-door dollhouse is CLOSED. We listed it, priced it right, showed it well, got an offer, & closed an FHA transaction without a single meltdown... In 2026.

While stuck between chronic Omaha construction & all the roads closed due to the Ironman race I knew nothing about until I couldn’t get anywhere, I got a text from friends who stopped by an open house. And of course they loved it, so I somehow teleported & made it across town with only minutes to spare of the open.

This cute couple lost out on a house a few weeks ago that felt absolutely perfect. But a little too perfect. Like, intimidatingly perfect. The kind of perfect where the house has been gutted & the soul was sucked out.

But this house is different… This house was loved by an incredibly talented artist with woodworking details tucked into all the right places, 60s charm that never got “updated” into oblivion, & the kind of care you can just feel when you walk through the door.

Once again… the house that broke their hearts was just clearing the path for the one that actually fit. It always works out as it should!

Congrats my friends! It’s perfectly perfect for YOU! Can’t wait to see how cool you’ll make it! ❤️🙌

Wednesday she called me. Thursday we were walking through houses, including this darling little place perfectly perched among the trees & instantly had her whole heart, so we wrote a late night offer. Friday - OFFER ACCEPTED (as written)!

I’m not karaoke people. It’s just not my thing. But once upon a time, Caitlin Little convinced me to do it with costumes & characters, props & personas. And it instantly became a Benson favorite.

One of my favorite memories beyond the hats & capes & feather boas was when a quiet, petite young woman who requested Elton John’s Tiny Dancer got on stage & belted out the song like a Scandinavian death metal band. It was incredible. 😂

Krazyoke is one of my favorite things I’ve ever said yes to. And now it’s BACK! On the gorgeous stage of Benson Theatre with one of our original hosts Evan Thompson to bring the songs & the sass for a perfect BFF Omaha PRIDE! Don’t miss it!

Friendly reminder: It always works out as it should. Even when it feels like it never will.

Not always fast. Not always the way you planned it. But sometimes the best thing that happens is the one that falls through because my favorite calls to make are the ones where we canceled on something that just didn’t feel right… and then found the one that did!

Right location. Right layout. Doggy door already installed. A trail right behind the house for daily pup adventures.

When it’s yours, you know. And when it’s not, that feeling is information too. Kinda like Goldilocks.

Congrats to my buyers for trusting their gut (and moi) to find one that’s not too big & not too small to find the one that’s fits just right.

Trust your gut. Trust the process. And when you’re ready, your perfect abode is out there too. ❤️🏡

What should have been a simple off-market sale turned into months of hurdles, hoops, surprise paperwork, phone calls, state lines, family dynamics, & enough back-and-forth to make it feel like we were living in Footloose. Only without the cool warehouse.

And I was pretty sure Kevin Bacon was going to show up & tell us we needed approval from the town council before we could close. More than once.

But… WE CLOSED!

After all the drama, delays, & “you’ve got to be freaking kidding me” moments, this sweet family gets to start a brand chapter together in a a new home.

Now if you’ll excuse me..: I’m going to celebrate surviving the hardest transaction of my career & pretend I don’t have PTSD from my email inbox.

Congratulations, friends. Welcome home! ❤️🏡 And cue that one song, “Looks like we made it”. Because YOU DID IT! GO TEAM! ❤️🙌✨

Breaking news: Teenagers apparently want to live closer to friends & it’s a total non-negotiable while house hunting. And when that dreamy house around the corner from BFFs is lost, it’s a pretty big bummer. For the whole fam. Because: TEENAGERS

BUT… the best part is when you get a (surprise) accepted offer on the house that sings “DREAMWEAVER”. (Jk. It doesn’t actually sing but it does totally remind me of the scene from Wayne’s World because everyone gets everything they wanted & more. And perhaps these long days are making me slightly delirious. But like, in a fun way, right? Riiiight.)

Anyhoo…
5 minutes to school.
Walking distance to friends.
A man-cave that could easily double as a teenager habitat.
A backyard with enough privacy that nobody has to accidentally make eye contact with the neighbors while grilling…

Congrats my friends! Party time! Excellent! And soon a whole lot less driving. ❤️🙌
