I think we’re starting to see a shift in what people consider their dream home 🏡

For a long time, the goal was bigger, newer, modern, and more of everything. More square footage, more features, more boxes checked off the wishlist.

But lately, I’ve noticed buyers putting more thought into how a home actually fits their lifestyle. And I love that.

I'm noticing it’s less of wanting a huge house, and more about having a home that’s easy to maintain. Buyers are trading a few wishlist items for a location that makes everyday life more convenient. People are wanting more simplicity and a place where they can slow down and feel at home.

October is Fire Safety Month 🔥 And while it may not be the most exciting part of homeownership (or October 🤷‍♀️), a few simple checks around the house can make a BIG difference.

Consider this your reminder to:
• Test your smoke + carbon monoxide detectors
• Check those fire extinguishers
• Clean out your dryer vent
• Replace anything that’s past its recommended lifespan

I also recommend creating a plan with your family in the case of a fire emergency in your home! Make sure everyone knows how to get out efficiently, where to locate extinguishers, and what to do if a fire starts.
