It was clear from the beginning that restoring the Pittman Building would be a special project. We were fortunate to work alongside an amazing project team with Sower Investments and Burlington Capital to revitalize this building rooted in Omaha's architectural and civic history.

This project was a truly collaborative effort and we couldn't be happier to celebrate its success as a neighbor. Thank you to the judges for recognizing The Arthur among the 2026 Honorable Mention projects!

Designed during a pivotal shift in how we work, this space energizes connection through a vibrant community commons, a signature monumental stair, and employee-inspired details that celebrate brand and culture.

Step inside The Arthur where thougtfully preserved historic elements paired with contemporary materials and amenities transform a long-vancant landmark into modern housing within a growing Midtown neighborhood.

A rare example of Art Moderne architecture in Omaha, the existing Pittman Building required careful rehabilitation. Defined by curved forms, iconic glass block, and horizontal lines the design team was tasked with sourcing materials that fit seamlessly with the original design.

The Arthur demonstrates how culturally rooted adaptive reuse can elevate everyday living and strengthen community identity while celebrating one of the city's few remaining examples of this modernist style.
