Meet Your Champions of the White Lotus Group vs. Maven Social Bowling Championship!

If Hollywood ever needs inspiration for an underdog sports movie, we have the script. Amateurs vs. bowling leaguers.

After falling behind 7–3, amateurs, White Lotus Group, rallied to tie the match at 8–8 on total pinfall. With the championship on the line in a 9th-and-10th-frame roll-off, Captain Rolley Bennett stepped up and sealed the victory with two clutch strikes.

Final score: White Lotus Group 9, Maven Social 8.

Shoutout to Arun, Rolley, Becky, Nora, Taylor, and Kaitlyn for assembling the squad and event. To Maven Social: thanks for the laughs, competition, and creative explanations involving lane oil, rubber pins, nachos, and jalapeños.

Some corners hold their story forever.

For 54 years, 5319 N. 30th Street was Mister C's, where North Omaha celebrated birthdays, first dates, and family reunions under string lights and crystal walls. When it closed in 2007, the corner went quiet. For years, it just... waited.

In March 2018, it became home again. 110 families now call 30 Metro home, right next to Metro Community College, with a health clinic and community services built in downstairs so neighbors don't have to go far for what they need.

And we didn't let the past just disappear. Look for the sculpture on the property and you'll see Mister C's living on: the crystal walls, the glowing windows, the same warm light that used to spill onto 30th Street every night. It was designed by an artist who, as a kid, worked at Mister C's himself.

Same corner. New chapter. Still holding this neighborhood's story.

The We Make Omaha comprehensive plan points to a citywide strategy that guides land use, economic development, housing, mobility, and more, while also recognizing that Omaha will run out of undeveloped land by 2050 and is expected to grow by 36% by then.
