The development at 168th & State Street in Bennington is a large mixed-use project known as The Hill.

The area is being built out in phases and includes:

* McDonald’s, which is now open after construction began in 2025.
* A Starbucks is planned.
* A Casey’s convenience store is planned.
* A Heartland Dental office.
* A Methodist Physicians Clinic.
* New Horizon Academy daycare.
* Additional retail, restaurants, office space, and future commercial buildings.

There has also been ongoing discussion about attracting a small grocery store to the area, but as of the latest reports, no grocery tenant has been officially announced. City officials have said they’re continuing to recruit one.
