Talk about easy living. An inexpensive chair with a toss pillow, along with a *real or faux* potted tree really stand out next to the white walls and black door.

Here's a hint: if your porch is covered you could probably get away with indoor pillows on your outdoor furniture. Just don't put out anything you absolutely do not want damaged!

After the blizzard we had two days ago, this is what I wish my porch looked like. My siding and deck are in desperate need of a bath/shower!

This porch is one of my favorites in the series. All the hints of spring without going overboard. The soft green on this front door and Welcome sign are a breath of fresh air, and the beige pillows and rugs keep it very subtle.

Charlie got a new home today. A home where he will learn to crawl and then walk, where he will play in the back yard with his dogs, where he will delight his family as he grows up.

Charlie's parents made an offer on this home after seeing it only on video. Moving from another state can be scary and finding the perfect home from a distance is tricky. They had to trust Charlie's grandparents (and me) to start the process on their behalf.

While Charlie's parents are paying for the home, we all know this little dude is the boss. Congratulations to Charlie and his mommy & daddy! And thank you so much for letting me be a part of this fun new adventure of homeownership!

This porch brings the feeling of spring! If you just can't fight the itch and want (need) to start decorating for spring, now's your chance.

An easy way to make a heart sign like the one pictured: wrap your Welcome sign with a white plastic tablecloth, then stick on some cute heart decals. Let the kids help with this project!
