Holidays were difficult for our Sellers in December. Overall, the Sellers that accepted a purchase agreement got quite a bit more than the same time last year. However, the number of Sellers that did go pending (came together on contract negotiation) was down about 13%. From our perspective a 13% decrease is a lot!
Why did this occur? It could be what’s going on with the government may have some people, who otherwise would be Buyers, shifting towards being on the fence about purchasing. It’s all together possible though, that it could be as simple as Christmas Shoppers were spending more time hunting for bargains. 😉
Either way, it makes Sellers hungrier for offers, which is great for Buyers who rank incredible value as high on their list of priorities. It’s a great time to be in the market for Buyers. Interest rates have gone down a bit, selection is good, and there are some motivated Sellers out there.

Call us and we will get you in a home before the New Year and before the continued expected rise in interest rates! Sellers you are still good too! With the market history over the last couple years 6-8% appreciation rates! Not bad at all!
