Wow, 25 years ago today, I passed my real estate exam.
Real estate wasn’t new to me. I grew up around it. I watched my dad, listened to the conversations and learned more than I probably realized at the time. But 25 years ago, it became my choice and the beginning of my own career.
A lot has happened since then. The world changed shortly after I started with 9/11, and real estate has certainly changed more times than I can count. Markets, technology, contracts, how we market homes…so much is different.
But the part that matters most really hasn’t changed.
People trust me with some pretty big decisions in their lives.
I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has called me, referred me, trusted me to sell their home, helped them buy one, build one, move across town or move to Omaha. So many of you have come back more than once, and now I’m helping your kids and families too. That means more to me than any number of homes sold ever could.
And one of the best parts of 25 years? Having my own kids working alongside me now. I grew up in real estate, and somehow we’ve come full circle.
And yes, 25 years later, I’m still out here putting up, fixing and apparently fiddling with signs. 😂
Some things really don’t change.
Here’s to 25 years, a whole lot of stories, some pretty crazy markets, and a lot of people I’m grateful to have met along the way.
