Today we hosted our 5th Business Development class for six small businesses within the North 24th Street Business Improvement District in preparation for their facade projects.

The BID's Facade Program is providing $1.5M in capital improvements that will help to catalyze economic development by improving infrastructure, attracting new customers and creating new jobs.

OIPA is inviting developers to share their interest in future development opportunities for housing including single family, multi-family and mixed use within the Omaha Inland Port Authority boundary.

For generations, policies and investment decisions have shaped who had access to homeownership and wealth-building.

Now, community voices can help shape what comes next. Front Porch Investments is leading this work as part of a regional effort, From Redlining to Repair, that will better understand and strengthen homeownership access, stability, and reinvestment in North Omaha, South Omaha, and Council Bluffs. This input will inform Front Porch’s future work to promote homeownership and investment in formerly redlined areas.

There are many ways to participate:
✔️ Take the community survey
✔️ Share photos, memories, maps, family stories, property records, or neighborhood artifacts
✔️ Participate in upcoming listening sessions

The lived experiences of residents and families can show what data alone cannot.
