I have loved following in my dad's footsteps. He started this company in 1967 with a mission to "provide professional service with honesty & integrity" and 54 years later, we're still here.

Hats off to George H. Thomas Jr. from Selma, AL who, in 1967 had the gumption to start a real estate legacy in Omaha, NE just a few years after retired from serving our country in the US Air Force. Just a decade in, he saw a need to help the people who were buying houses also insure them. As a result, Thomas Insurance Agency was born in early 1977.

He pushed the first black owned real estate brokerage, started in our basement forward and building homes, managing properties and helping others get into the business.

He made a living helping others live better. He taught people to invest. He was an example to many and today would have been his 96th birthday.

Bessie Coleman soared across the sky as the first African American, and the first Native American woman pilot. Known for performing flying tricks, Coleman’s nicknames were; “Brave Bessie,” “Queen Bess,” and “The Only Race Aviatrix in the World.” Her goal was to encourage women and African Americans to reach their dreams. Unfortunately, her career ended with a tragic plane crash, but her life continues to inspire people around the world.
