📚✨Sam & Reading Room Omaha are the type of tenants you love to root for!

From an idea sparked at a silent book club to one of downtown Omaha's coziest spots, watching this journey unfold right here at 15th & Farnam has been nothing short of inspiring. Sam took a historic storefront and turned it into exactly what our neighborhood needed. A place to slow down, sip something warm, and get lost in a good book. 💛

We are SO proud of everything The Reading Room has accomplished and so happy they call The Barker home. Here's to Sam, her incredible vision, and many more chapters to come! 🥂📖

Stop in at 1505 Farnam St. and see for yourself - trust us, you'll stay longer than you planned. 😉

One year after The Reading Room opened inside the historic Barker Building at 1505 Farnam Street, founder Samantha Morley has built something Omaha didn’t know it was missing — a third space where regulars are known by name and their coffee order. The problem started, as most good business ideas...

Same corner, two eras! Check out 15th & Farnam in 1921 and the new Barker Building, which stands today in 1929. The Barker family had been building on this corner since the 1800s, but this Neo-Gothic stunner was their masterpiece and we're so proud to be a part of it's history!

🥪 Downtown lunch crowd, listen up! Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe is tucked right into the ground floor of The Barker, serving toasted sandwiches, fresh salads, savory soups, and (let's be honest) a seriously good lemonade. Whether you're grabbing lunch on a work break or just passing through downtown, it's worth the stop.
