Radon levels are routinely high here in the Omaha area, so it's worth getting a radon test to determine what the levels are.
If you already have a mitigation installed, the EPA recommends getting levels checked every two years to ensure that the system is functioning properly.

I've been seeing a lot of mold cases now that the weather has warmed up. Mold needs food, moisture and certain temperature ranges to reproduce. If you get rid of the moisture and access to food (cellulose like wood or paper) you can often times reduce or eliminate the chances for mold to reproduce entirely.

I'm a big history nerd so I'm always excited to run into homes that have a neat history. The 1950s housing boom was unparalleled in American history. Inexpensive land and floorplans coupled with a thriving American economy meant that young families could afford homes in a way that really hasn't occurred before or since.

The National Home company out of Lafayette Indiana created one of the more successful modular home business models in the country, and tens of thousands of these homes are still around and in use today.
