Maybe you want more opportunity. More freedom. A better environment. A bigger challenge. Or maybe you just know you’re capable of more than what you’re doing right now.

What’s actually more expensive: taking the risk or staying somewhere you’ve already outgrown?

I think a lot of people spend so much time calculating what could go wrong if they make a move that they never stop to calculate the cost of doing nothing.

Another year in the same position.
Another opportunity passed up.
Another year talking about the thing you said you were going to do.

Whether it’s starting a business, changing careers, growing your real estate business or finally betting on yourself, there’s always going to be a reason to wait.

At some point, you have to decide which risk you’re more willing to take.

What do you think? Is staying comfortable sometimes the bigger risk?

People see the food plots, the deer, the land, and the end result.

What they don’t always see are the years it took to get there.

Long days on the ATV. Breaking new ground. 100-degree heat. Shoveling and spreading tons of lime by hand just to get something to grow.

That’s the part of land management that doesn’t always make it into the highlight reel. What looks established today started with a whole lot of work years ago.
