Week 12 of delivering some of the best donuts from The Donut Hut & Bakery-Unadilla 🍩

This week I went to the Oneonta Boys And Girls Club. The kids wrestled there this past year, and I’ve seen firsthand what a great program they have, along with many other opportunities for local youth. They go above and beyond for so many kids in our area, providing a place to learn, grow, and challenge themselves.

So excited for my client who just closed on this beautiful home in Unadilla! 🇺🇸🏡

As a veteran and a nurse, he’s spent his career giving back to others, so it was an honor to be part of his home buying journey and help him reach this milestone.

I asked him a few questions about the experience:

What was your favorite part about the home?

“I think my favorite thing is the potential, as cheesy as that may sound. There are a lot of cool little features — all the built-ins, the large archway from the front hall to the dining room, the beautiful staircase, and crown molding throughout. It’s a beautiful house that needs some work.”

What was the biggest challenge or concern you had during the home-buying process?

“The biggest challenge was dealing with uncertainty. Particularly in my situation, having to move fast while waiting on loan approval, title work, and the appraisal. Any of those things can cause delays or even derail a deal altogether. It’s stressful.”

What would you tell someone who is thinking about buying a home and considering working with me?

“I’d tell them to do it. I really have no complaints about working with you. You were always responsive, communicated well, encouraged questions, and advocated to keep things moving. You knew what I was looking for and helped me get it.”

coming up on one year completely full-time in real estate this month, and it’s crazy how much life has changed.

I’m learning to appreciate the little things because if you don’t, it’s going to be a long road.

Today, that little thing is a new office with a window.

A year ago, I really had no idea what was next. Before that is a whole different story.

Today, I can truthfully say I’m proud of where life’s at, and I’m excited to keep building on it.

I’m excited to share that over the past two weeks, I’ve put over $1 million in listings under contract and helped four more families secure homes in a competitive market in just May.

Despite some of the uncertainty surrounding the market, I’m continuing to see strong buyer demand across Otsego, Schoharie, Chenango, and Delaware Counties. Well priced homes with the right marketing strategy are still attracting serious interest and getting results.
