Today is Dale Stinton AE Appreciation Day, a day established by NAR to recognize and show appreciation for the Association Executives who work behind the scenes to support our associations, members and leadership.
If you've ever been involved in association leadership, you know there is a very long list of things that somehow end up on someone's desk.
Questions that don't have easy answers. Problems that need fixing. Meetings that need organizing. Interactions with NAR, NYSAR, and our MLS alliance that our members never see, to keep this machine running smoothly. Members who need help. Board members who have ideas. And board members who have ideas that seemed like a good idea at the time but probably weren't. And then ideas that never seemed like a good idea at all, that still need to be addressed.
Our association's staff handles all of it.
A lot of that work isn't particularly glamorous, and most of it happens when nobody is paying attention. Like answering the same questions to our members, over and over and over again . (Now we can use ARDI! Call or text!). But when things work, when members get what they need, and when the association keeps moving forward, that is the result of their efforts. For this, we thank you!
