As most of you know by now, Tractor Supply is investing in Opp and will be located in the building which was previously Winn-Dixie. They are remodeling this building and it will be a nice, big store which will also have a garden center. We feel the need to thank the following people, who seldom get credit for the hard work they do for the City of Opp. A big shout out to City Planner Jason Bryan and others at City Hall for making the process of getting permits, and any other tasks they have been asked to help with, go smoothly. Next, thank you to Tim Phillips and his entire crew for help in blocking off the construction area to eliminate accidents. Also, thank you to Charlie Madden and his crew for marking water lines and sewer lines, but also for offering to reroute any line that needed to be moved for the construction crew. Another thanks to Jason Killingworth and his crew for the removal of some trees on the right away, which has made a big difference. Finally, thanks to Chief Cory Spurlin and the Opp Fire Department for their assistance with the sprinkler system drainage. Of course, most of all, our thanks goes out to Kevin Stanaland, owner of Caloosa Development, LLC located in South Florida, for investing in Opp, This building has been vacant for a number of years, but he has been diligent in his efforts of working to get a business to locate in Opp. His diligence has paid off and we are extremely thankful that after a year of him working tirelessly, we can now say we have Tractor Supply coming to Opp. If we have forgotten someone in our thanks, it is not intentional…thank you to ALL that have had a hand in this!
