A tropical storm warning is in effect for WindDrift for Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning for a weak tropical system over the gulf.

The main impacts for this storm will remain over the gulf with a period of gusty winds possible starting Tuesday afternoon. Winds from the northeast will increase thru the afternoon Tuesday and gradually shift to an easterly direction late Tuesday night and then from the southeast on Wednesday. Gusts of 30 to 40mph are possible. Heavy rainfall totals are not expected.

Significant coastal impacts are not expected. Strong rip currents are likely late Tuesday thru Friday. The forecasted wind directions should limit the high tide cycle.
