Nobody kicks off a fishing tournament with style like Orange Beach!!

The Gulf Coast’s biggest sportfishing showdown is officially underway 🎣🔥 The 30th Annual Orange Beach Billfish Classic kicked off this morning with more than 50 elite teams heading offshore chasing blue marlin, tuna, wahoo, and dolphin — all competing for a prize purse of over one million dollars! Our son Ben is piloting one of those amazing boats! 🤞

If you want to catch the excitement, the public weigh-ins at The Wharf are always a must-see:
🎣 Friday weigh-ins: 7–8 AM and 7–10 PM
🎣 Saturday weigh-in: 6–10 PM with awards following afterward.

Such an experience to watch these monster Swordfish come in and weigh for the tournament. Both of my sons are Charter Boat Captains here in Orange Beach and I love hearing and witnessing their adventures in the Gulf! Ben was part of the crew for Say When and their catch was over 132 pounds today!! Do you know why they call them “Mud Marlins”?
