What a weekend at the Bear Point Cajun Cookoff.
We rolled in with pepper jack boudin hush puppies, a big pot of gumbo, and a crew ready to cook.
Cole McCarty started it off with an unbelievable roux that set the foundation the right way. Chris Myles hooked us up with all the cooking equipment and turned out some absolute killer deer sausage sliders. Total team effort.
Proud to say we brought home 1st Place Judge’s Choice and 1st Place People’s Choice.
Great food is one thing. Great community is another. This is exactly why Bear Point and the Alabama Gulf Coast are special — people show up, support each other, and have a good time doing it.
