Foodie Friday!!! We try to have family date night pretty often but it’s easier said than done! The girls wanted Italian so we tried Carmelo’s in the Publix shopping center. We had the entire loaf of fresh bread for an appetizer (not pictured 🤣), Pollo Foccacia, Lasagna and Veal Piccata. I’m glad we were hungry because portions were huge!!

BUT we couldn’t leave without dessert. We had tiramisu, a blueberry lemon cake and chocolate covered strawberries. We celebrated Mattison’s 18th birthday almost 2 months late!

Anyway, go hungry and leave happy!!

Foodie Friday is BACK!! I spent most of January working from a deer stand then we just finished a 21 day fast with our church. So I promise you didn’t miss anything!!

Back in December, Rayley and I had a date day and went to Bier Shack Taproom to eat and throw axes!!

We threw axes before we ate (thankfully because we did a lot of bending over to pick it up until we figured out the art of throwing!). It was so much fun!!

Rayley had the Bacon Bier cheese burger and seasoned fries with queso. I had the Rueben with grilled potatoes and onions (potato’s and onions was like a walk down memory lane…tasted exactly like grandpa used to make in the old cast iron skillet).

The staff was super friendly and accommodating! There was a variety of games to keep everyone occupied and if that’s not enough there are plenty of tvs. To top it all off the food was excellent!

Foodie Friday!! If you’ve never been over to Pensacola for WinterFest, you need to go!! There are SO many activities, especially on the weekend. Palafox is beautiful this time of year!! AND, be sure to eat at uph_pensacola!! Union Public House is all about craft southern food! We had the wings, pimento cheese hushpuppies, sea bass, pork shank, ribeye, fried chicken sandwich and crème brulee! Needless to say we were stuffed!! Service was excellent, presentation was amazing and the food was delicious!!!

Foodie Friday!!! Lucky for me there are other foodies in my office who love to try a new restaurant! Especially if it involves burgers!! The Beach Bun did not disappoint!!! It’s located in the Publix shopping center where Chronic Tacos used to be. We had the Shoreline Classic, Reef rider, Riptide Rush, Sunset spread and High Tide Heat. As you can tell portions are huge! The food was delicious and the staff was super nice!!! We love supporting local, family owned businesses. We will definitely be back!!
