No music stages. No crowds. White sand, clear water, herons nesting, and nobody there but the people who knew to go. This is what Crab Island in Destin wishes it was.
2. AVENUE PUB AT HUDSON MARINA�Terry Cove, Orange Beach. Pull up by boat and beach the bow on their shoreline. Walk up to the beach bar or take the stairs to the open air restaurant overlooking Terry Cove and Perdido Pass Bridge. Live music Thursday through Sunday in season. Average price point. 3. THE TIKI RAW BAR AT SPORTSMANS MARINA�East end of Sportsmans Marina where Terry Cove meets Johnson Cove. Golf cart in or dock your boat. Get the Perdido Key Lime. Sandpit for kids or bags, small live music stage, solid food menu. One of the best spots on this coast that most visitors never stumble across because there is no reason to drive down that road unless you already know it is there.
4. THE SANDBAR OFF PERDIDO PASS�No name. No sign. No address to put in your GPS. Locals know exactly where to drop anchor on a Saturday afternoon. The water is clear, the current keeps it clean, and the boats that show up are the ones piloted by people who belong here. Now you know where it is.
5. COTTON BAYOU BEACH ACCESS, EAST ORANGE BEACH�Some of the best waterfront condos on this coast sit right here on Cotton Bayou. Boat slips included on most units. Most visitors drive straight through East Orange Beach on their way to the main strip without ever slowing down to look at what is right there on the south side of the road.

All five within ten minutes of Perdido Pass. All five accessible only by boat, golf cart, or knowing someone who has been here long enough to know where to go.

This is the Orange Beach the tourists never find.
