W A L L P A P E R 🗺

Let’s talk about it. The truth is, some love and some hate it. And while we thought we saw a rise of it in 2021.. it’s only here to stay in 2022! 💡

After doing some research and personal opinion, I’ve found 4 great examples of wallpaper trends that are making a comeback!

1. Abstract. This beautiful beige and grey blend. The blend of these neutrals and effortless design creates the cozy, or “hygge” look that has been so sought after.. I mean who doesn’t want to feel at peace in their own home?

2. Textured Concrete (unfinished basements are screamin’ right now) 🤣 While we all know contemporary has and continues to be in.. some designers have had fun blending industrial into their designs and concrete patterns just adds to a more “edgy” aesthetic 🪨

3. Greeeeens! 🪴 The world is going green.. literally! With a rise in sustainability awareness, many designers are lovin’ some thrifted furniture and that included a lots of dark woods and wicker.. and what better way to break it up with some vibrant green.. and playful patterns too!

4. Textured.. or 3D! With the advancement of 3D printing there are tons of wall material with ambient effects. This can range to anything from geometric, abstract, to flowers or even realistic scenes! I believe this specific trend will be taking us through out the rest of the decade.. 🤔

Small Bathroom Tips 🤍

Currently in the process of remodeling small size bathrooms. Just wanted to hop on here and share some basic tips and rules when it comes to small bathrooms.

In the first photo, I want to emphasize on the floating vanity and how much it can open up a space. You can use it for storage, or keep it empty to make your space a notch more open.

Second photo is a great example of floor tile size that will create the illusion of a bigger space. The streamline is more appealing and less grout lines!

Third photo shows you how glass doors on showers make a huge difference, especially when you have shower tile. The eye overlooks glass and goes to the tile, making it a more flowing space.

And of course.. the more serene colors the better! (White, pastels, and neutrals) @ Orange County, California

Space Utilization 👏🏻

Happy New Year everyone! We wanted to talk about ways to utilize space underneath the staircase. In the first photo, brilliant created a cocktail bar.. so creative and great for the people who love to host! Second photo we have a simple reading nook..makes the space look so cozy 🤍 Third photo as you can see they have built in shelves for extra storage and decor! Fourth is simply smart.. use it as a work space with adding a simple desk and chair! We just love these useful ways to use that space that would typically be empty! 🏡

What is the difference between the first 3 photos vs the last⁉️

What do you notice about the first three photos versus the last.. here’s a hint.. it’s all about curtains people! 😉 The first three photos display curtains hanging anywhere between 4-6 inches above the window frame. The last photo has the curtains hanging right at the frame.

Why does this matter? 🧐

Because when you hang curtains higher it makes the window look taller, ceiling look higher, and makes the room appear larger overall!

Let’s say you use this neat trick I just taught you! Great 😇.. But also consider the extra fabric needed to ensure the curtains won’t hang to high that it’ll leave a gap! I suggest adding 1-3 inches of fabric for a settling look 😌

V I G N E T T E S 🌿

You may not even not it, but you most likely have in many parts of your home this decor statement! A vignette is when you find smaller decor pieces that represent your personality and put them onto a bigger piece of furniture, shelves, or tray! It’s just simple decor pieces representing your style of “pretty” with other “pretty” objects to create a bold or settle piece depending on your personality!😌

Vignettes are so popular because they don’t have to be created on just one piece of furniture. For example.. you can create them by stacking a candle, magazine, plant & more into a tray! Or layer books with small plants, wired vase, or glass which would create a more rustic look ✨
